The PCDIC participates in the second international pharmacy conference in Jordan
Dr. Ansam Sawalha, the director for the Poison Control and Drug Information Center (PCDIC), participated in the second international pharmacy conference organized from October 15-17 at Alzaytounah University, Jordan under the patronage of Dr. Nasr Saleh, Alzaytounah’s president.
Dr. Sawalha presented a research paper entitled "evaluation of the utilization of Angiotensin Converting Enzyme Inhibitors in patients with Congestive Heart Failure." This study was organized and conducted by the PCDIC in collaboration with scholars from the College of Pharmacy at An-Najah.
The conference included several disciplines including clinical pharmacy, pharmacology, pharmaceutical technology, pharmacy laws and regulations, and others. Fifty six papers were presented in addition to some keynote lectures and workshops.
The conference aimed to shed light at the latest in the fields of pharmaceutical research and raising awareness, in addition to strengthening cooperation between researchers. Researchers came from several countries such as USA, UK, Nijeria, Malysia, Sudan, Iraq, Poland, Syria, Palestine, and Jordan. The participation of the PCDIC in this conference was very important to introduce the PCDIC and the research performed at An-Najah National University.
