The Palestinian Minister of Health Visits An-Najah and Meets with Prof. Rami Hamdallah
Prof. Rami Hamdallah, President of An-Najah University, received in his office at the Old Campus Dr. Fathi Abu Mughli, Palestinian Minister of Health, along with a delegation that consisted of Dr. Na’eem Sabrah, Director General of Hospitals, Dr. Qasem Al-Ma’ani, Director General of Planning, Maria Al-Aqra’, Director of International Cooperation, and Dr. Omar Al-Naser, Director of Public Relations and Media at the Ministry of Health. Dr. Anwar Dudin, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Science, also attended the meeting.

In the meeting, Prof. Hamdallah welcomed the delegation to An-Najah and valued their visit to discuss several crucial health issues as part of the joint programs between the University and the Ministry especially the new Teaching Hospital and the stages that have been completed so far.
The two sides also discussed some joint projects such as the Paramedic program which is currently applied at the different hospitals and which is scheduled for development soon, in addition to the Family Medicine program.
Moreover, Prof. Hamdallah mentioned that the National Teaching Hospital will have some of its parts operating this year pointing out that this facility will represent a substantial contribution to the field of health and medicine in Palestine and will replace the current National Hospital in Nablus.
The President also praised the cooperation between the University and the Ministry of Health to complete this unique project, and expressed appreciation of Dr. Abu Mughli’s efforts made in this regard.
Dr. Abu Mughli thanked Prof. Hamdallah for his cooperation regarding the Teaching Hospital project and pointed out that An-Najah is a leading scientific institution and that the Ministry is honored to work with it in such significant and important projects.
