On Monday 19 May Professor Maher Natsheh, Acting President of An-Najah met with the Palestinian Ambassador to Ireland Mr. Ahmad Abdulrazeq. The two parties discussed possible ways of joint future collaboration between An-Najah and Irish universities.

Prof. Natsheh welcomed Mr. Abdulrazeq, thanking him for visiting An-Najah. He then gave an overview of the history of the University, talking about the University’s strategy and future plans and support for scientific research. In addition, he highlighted the role of An-Najah’s Hospital in serving the Palestinian community as well as performing a number of ground-breaking surgeries.

Prof. Natsheh expressed the University’s willingness and enthusiasm to cooperate through the Palestinian Embassy with Irish universities in different academic areas. Mr. Abdulreazeq, in turn, applauded the University’s high educational level and stressed his willingness to work on establishing relationships between An-Najah and Irish universities.  

The meeting also included the screening of a short film about An-Najah entitled “A Success Story”, which was prepared by the Media Centre. Ending with a tour around the New Campus, where Mr. Abdulrazeq was introduced to the Campus faculties and facilities.
