The Office of Scholarships at An-Najah Delivers a Presentation about the Scholarships offered by the French Consulate General in Jerusalem
The Office of Scholarships at An-Najah organized a presentation about the scholarships that the French Consulate General in Jerusalem offers at the Conference Room, Old Campus Library. More than 60 students interested in pursuing their higher education abroad attended the meeting, in addition to members of the administrative and academic staff.
At the beginning of the meeting Dr. Khaled Eleiwi, Scholarships Coordinator at An-Najah, welcomed the French delegation and the attendants for their interest in the meeting. He also thanked the French Consulate for the scholarships it offers to the students of An-Najah.
Following that Mr. Tristan Leplat and Mrs. Julie Belmont from the French Consulate spoke about the importance of studying in France and explained why students prefer to study there. They also said that the purpose behind these scholarships is to provide those who wish to continue their higher study with all the knowledge they need to come back to their country ready to take the lead in the development of the Palestinian society and life.
Furthermore, they explained the requirements and conditions for studying in France and how the applicant could obtain the visa to study there. In addition, they spoke about the application mechanism and the study fields available through these scholarships. After the presentation, a meeting was organized between the French Consulate’s delegation and An-Najah candidates for the Joint French Scholarship where the French delegation explained to the candidates the application mechanism in addition to other information about this scholarship.
