Dr. Suliman Al-Khalil, Dean of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, and Dr. Heba Al-Fares, Head of Plant Production and Protection, received Mr. Diedrik Van Groen, Netherlands Representative to Palestine, accompanied by Dr. Thameen Al-Haijawi, the Palestinian coordinator of the Netherlands Representative in Palestine.

The two parties viewed the development and progression of the curriculum in agricultural sciences and veterinary medicine, food safety, mechanism of public safety, and marketing of agricultural education. In addition, they discussed the possibility establishing a joint graduate programme, supported by the Netherlands Representative, where students participate in an educational programme that trains and prepares them for the labour market. Thus, attempting to resolve the problems of agricultural workforce scarcity in Palestine.

At the end of the visit, the delegation toured the College farms, Veterinary Advisory Clinic, and Fish Farm. The delegation praised the available possibilities for the establishment of joint graduate programmes with educational institutions through the Netherlands Representative.
