On Monday 24 March Professor Maher Natsheh, Acting President of An-Najah, received the Palestinian Minister of Justice Advocate Ali Mhanna and his delegation.

Prof. Natsheh welcomed the guest and the accompanying delegates to An-Najah thanking them for the visit and applauding the role of the Ministry in establishing the foundations of justice in Palestine. He also briefed them on the University and its notable achievements.

Prof. Natsheh went on to say he is interested in discussing cooperative working between the Ministry and the University. He also said it would be worth reviewing the framework of cooperation signed between the two parties since 2006.

Advocate Mhanna expressed his pleasure at visiting An-Najah and welcomed the joint work with the University, recognising it as a forerunner on the Palestinian, Arab and international academic levels. He further stressed the importance of this partnership in developing and advancing the level of services provided by the University.

Finally, the two parties agreed on establishing a committee of experts and technicians to review the framework agreement, which aims at setting out the working relationship in relation to analysis and studies the University oversees for the Ministry of Justice.
