The Media Center at An-Najah University Concludes a Course in Preparing Radio Report on Environmental Issues
On May 19th, the Media Center at An-Najah University concluded a training course in preparing radio reports about environmental issues in cooperation with the Deutsche Welle Foundation in Germany. The ten-day course was administered by trainer Antya Power and Muna Najjar.
The course targeted a number of journalists working in the field of radio broadcasting in Ramallah, Nablus and Hebron and aimed to develop the trainees’ skills in the methods and professional techniques used to cover environmental issues and produce them in a professional way.
The training consisted of a number of theoretical and applied lectures at the Studio Room of the Media Center, in addition to a number of field visits that aimed to strengthening the environmental reality in the places where people face environmental and health problems.
The training also focused on producing radio reports about the problem of the wastewater channel in Wadi Al-Tuffah west of Nablus, in addition to the drought and water shortage problems in the city.
At the end of the course Dr. Atef Salameh presented certificates to the participants.
