The Korean Palestinian IT Institute of Excellence Concludes a Training Course
On October 5th 2010, the Korean Palestinian IT Institute of Excellence (KPITIE) at the University finished a training course for employees at the Palestinian Ministry of Health on internet website programming and databases with 120 training hours. The course was administered by Trainer Ahmed Abu Alia.
Engineer Khalid Barham, Director of the KPITIE, mentioned that the course reflected the University's commitment to serving the society. The relationship between the University and the society is a strong one and is demonstrated through cooperation between the two in various fields.

Both the private and public sectors benefit from the training that the University provides through its different scientific and social centers. Such events reinforce relationships between the academic and social institutions in Palestine and ensure that individuals are getting the support and orientation they need. Technology has become a vital element in the modern life to which most investment in many countries are dedicated. For this reason, the University, represented by its KPITIE, has organized this course to provide employees at the Ministry of Health with adequate training in the filed of technology so that they become qualified experts.
Through enhancing their skills and expanding their experience, those employees' competency and performance will develop further, as a result, the overall health status will improve and people's chances of receiving better medical care will also increase.
Dr. Jawad Bitar, Director of the Palestinian Health Information Center at the Ministry of Health, thanked the University and the KPITIE for offering such course and provided that the trainees have benefited significantly from this kind of training. He also hoped that cooperation between the Ministry and the University will continue and that more similar courses will be organized.
