The Korean Palestinian IT Institute of Excellence (KPITIE) and Technology Incubator organized a pioneer day under the title “The Secrets of Successful Pioneering,” which was held in the Institute’s Conference Hall. This activity is part of the International Entrepreneurship Week in Palestine, for which many activities were held this week in participating institutions in Palestine. Tens of University students and guests from outside the University attended this event.

Mr. Khalid Barham, the Director of the Korean Institute, inaugurated this event and welcomed the guests and attendees, and he affirmed the University’s interest in pioneering and creativity. The University’s efforts in this regard are crystal clear, from supporting business incubators and entrepreneurship projects to encouraging entrepreneurs to participate in many local, regional, and international entrepreneurship activities. Then, Dr. Sameh Al-At’out gave a presentation on the secrets of successful pioneering, addressing the aspects which the pioneer should know and understand, and highlighting real-world local and international examples. He also talked about the importance of expertise diversity in the entrepreneurship team, and the available methods of investment for start-up companies, whether from banks or investors. Furthermore, Mr. Mohammad Jihad Dweikat participated in training entrepreneurs in two projects of the Korean Institute, where he presented on the importance of teamwork in the outcomes of projects and investor encouragement.

Sadarah for Financing Start-Up Businesses participated with a motivational section, and one of Sadarah’s founders, Saed Al-Nashif, and its, Director Mr. Taylor Falorr, attended this event. Mr. Falorr began with the importance of entrepreneurship in advancing states’ economy, and then highlighted successful examples in Palestine that obtained financial supportfrom Sadarah. Next, he introduced five Palestinian entrepreneurs who received financing from Sadarah, where they talked about their bittersweet experience in entrepreneurship. Finally, Sadarah representatives answered the attendees’ questions.
