On Monday 28 April Professor Maher Natsheh, Acting President of An-Najah, and Dr. Mohammad Hanoon, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, received HE Mr. Waleed Al-Masri, Jordanian Minister of Municipal Affairs. The delegation was accompanied by the Palestinian Minister of Local Government, Dr. Sa’ed Al-Kuni.


Prof. Natsheh and Dr. Hanoon welcomed Mr. Al-Masri, thanking him and his delegation for visiting An-Najah. Prof. Natsheh expressed his gratitude for his majesty King Abdullah II, the Jordanian Government and People for their constant support of the Palestinian Cause. Additionally, he gave an overview on the University history, the academic programmes in bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees and introduced the University Hospital.
Dr. Hanoon also stressed the strong bonds between the Palestinians and Jordanians; also thanking the Jordanian Government, King and People, for all the support they have provided to the Palestinians over the years and continue to show.
In turn, Mr. Al-Masri passed on the Jordanian Government’s regards, and expressed his joy at visiting Palestine. He highlighted that this is his very first visit to both Palestine and the University.


Dr. Al-Kuni thanked An-Najah for their hospitality, expressing his pride of the University, illustrated by its position as a prestigious university within the Palestinian, Arab and international level educational arena.
