The International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations Successfully Concludes the New Trainers Preparation Training Course at An-Najah
As part of a series of successive international activities held by the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA) in Palestine, the IFMSA successfully concluded the internationally recognized New Trainers Preparation training course. The course lasted for three days and was organized at the Conferences Room at the Korean Palestinian It Institute of Excellence, New Campus.
This course is considered among the most important ones in the series as it aims to produce qualified trainers in the field of medicine who have the ability to offer training in the different local, regional and international meetings that the IFMSA holds in various fields such as leadership and communication, project management, time management, strategic planning, funding, support attraction methods..etc.
More than 24 students from An-Najah University, Al-Quds University and Jordan University of Science and Technology participated in the course. All the students successfully passed the course and now each of them will carry out training in one of the training fields under the supervision of former trainers after which the student would be considered an international trainers at the IFMSA. The course’s training staff was led by Phillip Chao, Head of the Projects Unit at the IFMSA.
The trainers’ staff also included Omar Abu Zaideh, the Regional Coordinator of the IFMSA’s Projects in the Middle East. Omar has been a trainer at the IFMSA since 2009 when he passed training for new trainers. Nimer Abu Shihab, President of the IFMSA at An-Najah, also participated as part of the training staff.
