On May 3^rd 2010, Mr. Csaba Czibere, Head of Mission to the Representative Office of the Republic of Hungary to the Palestinian National Authority visited the University and was received by the University President, Prof. Rami Hamdallah, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Maher Abu Eid, President Assistant for International and Strategic Affairs, and Mr. Ala Abu Dheer, Acting Director of the Public Relations Department at the University.

Prof. Hamdallah welcomed Mr. Czibere and presented a description of the University, the different academic programs, the various specializations and facilities the University offers. He also spoke about the cooperation agreements that the University holds with a number of international universities. He further stressed the importance of education and learning for the Palestinian people.

Prof. Hamdallah highlighted the cooperation held between Palestinian and Hungarian universities and hoped that such cooperation would continue so as to support and promote academic exchange of students and professors which would eventually benefit both the Palestinian and Hungarian people.

Prof. Abu Eid spoke about the facilities at the University, higher education in Palestine, and the possibility of sending Palestinian students to Hungary to pursue their study.

Mr. Czibere on his part stressed the same ideas and said that there is a great chance that academic exchange would be made between Palestinian and Hungarian universities. The Representative then visited the New Campus where he was introduced to the new facilities it contains and the degree of development it has reached. Another visit was organized to the different parts of Nablus, especially the Old City where Mr. Czibere expressed his admiration of the historical and architectural monuments in the city.
