The Hisham Hijjawi College of Technology signed a cooperation agreement with Al-Quds Open University to establish the Certiport Authorized Testing Center at the College.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Ismail Yaseen, Director of Microsoft Academy at Hisham Hijjawi College, and Mr. Imad Al-Hud, President’s Assistant for Technology and Production Affairs at Al-Quds Open University.

According to this agreement, Hisham Hijjawi College will be able to hold the necessary international tests for the materials and training courses that are held at the College in the field of information technology and communications.

The Microsoft Academy was established at the Hijjawi College in July 2011 in partnership with the Save the Children Organization and Mercy Corps being the executors of the USAID-funded Technical Education and Vocational Training Project.

Certiport was established in 1997. They are based in American Fork, Utah and their main goal is to validate fundamental computer skills and knowledge through performance-based testing. Certiport also provides the official Microsoft Office certification programs, the Microsoft Technology Associate certification program, the Adobe Certified Associate certification program and others.
