The Governor of the Palestinian Monetary Authority Visits the University

On Wednesday, April 7th 2010, the Governor of the Palestinian Monetary Authority, Dr. Jihad Al-Wazir visited the University and met with the President, Prof. Rami Hamdallah.
Dr. Mohamad Hanoon, Vice President for Community Affairs, Dr. Saed Al-Koni, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, as well as Mr. Rasheed Al-Kukhun, the Director of the Financial Department at the University were present.
In the meeting, Prof. Hamdallah presented a description of the University, the academic programs it offers, its students, and the centers that provide a variety of services to the local community. In his speech, Prof. Hamdallah focused on the programs that the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences provides and the role this faculty plays in providing the community with experts who contribute to the development of the Palestinian economy. He further highlighted the significance of the role that the Palestinian Monetary Authority plays in supporting and developing the Palestinian economy and the importance of continuing the cooperation between the University and the Monetary Authority.


On his part, Dr. Al-Wazir emphasized the role that the University is carrying out in serving the community and that the Palestinian Monetary Authority is deeply concerned with maintaining and strengthening cooperation relationships with the University.
As part of the visit, a seminar about the Palestinian financial status, the loans system, and other topics was organized in coordination with the Students Union.
