The Genetic Laboratory at An-Najah National University held a workshop on Monday to discuss new methods of diagnosing cancer and genetic diseases. Dr. Ayman Husain, a biotechnologist and genetic expert, supervised the workshop. Dr. Husain gave a lecture on Polymerase Chain Reaction, also known as the PCR technique, which is used by scientists to produce large quantities of DNA artificially. This technique helps to diagnose different kinds of cancer and genetic diseases, such as Leukemia and Familial Mediterranean Fever.

Workshop attendees included students from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and professionals from the health sector. The sessions aimed to provide training for students and health professionals in diagnosis methods in order to contribute to early detection, prevention, and treatment plans for cancer and genetic diseases.
