The Fourth Session of the Educational Training Programme
The Faculty of Educational Sciences and Teacher Training in cooperation with the National Institute for Educational Training, held the fourth session of teacher training at Zafir Al-Masri Auditorium aimed at teachers of the first to fourth grades. Dr. Ghassan Al-Hilo, Dean of Educational Sciences and Teacher Training, welcomed the participant teachers and called on them to take advantage of the Educational Training Programme aimed to improve the quality of school education.
Dr. Ali Habayeb, in a speech to delegates, pointed out that the University’s mission is to provide Palestinian society with qualified teachers, able to perform their duties to impart knowledge and technical abilities to their students, contributing to the development of the Palestinian society. He further added that the University trains 100 teachers every semester and sees 174 graduates over the same period.
Dr. Nuha Attir, the Training Department Director, spoke on behalf of the National Institute for Educational Training, pointing out its importance in enhancing the professional development for teachers and enabling them to acquire skills that help them employ modern teaching strategies when implementing the school curriculum. She also addressed concerns about the timing of training events, which had been raised as an issue by teachers.
