The Faculty of Nursing Participates in a Workshop at Ibn Sina Nursing and Midwifery College

On September 6th 2010, Dr. Samah Shtaiyeh, an instructor at the Faculty of Nursing at An-Najah, participated in a workshop that was held at Ibn Sina National College for Medical Studies in Saudi Arabia. The workshop was titled "Excellence Model in Nursing Education". Dr. Shtaiyeh participated with an abstract for her Master Thesis titled "The Perceptions and Practices of Instructors at the Faculties of Nursing in the West Bank towards Undergraduate Nursing Education Standsrds".
Dr. Shtaiyeh shed light on the importance of the standards of nursing education and practicing it properly so that the academic level of graduates can be improved and consequently maintain high quality of nursing care. The results of her study showed that the Faculty of Nursing at An-Najah is one of the best faculties that apply such standards. That is, it has high-quality educational process, suitable environment and available sources to do the job.
The lecture that Dr. Shtaiyeh delivered comes within a series of other lectures and workshops that are held at Ibn Sina College which aim to prepare the academic staff and create efficiency that can make the best out of the educational process's strategies.
