The Faculty of Fine Arts Prepares to Take Part in the Events of the Palestinian National Culture Day
The Faculty of Fine Arts at the University prepares to participate in the events of the Palestinian National Culture Day whose cultural week will be inaugurated in Tulkarem by next week. The Art Gallery will be held at Al-Mahatta Gallery in Ramallah on Sunday, March 13th in cooperation with the Palestinian Ministry of Culture.
The Faculty will participate, through its students, with a number of artwork made by the students in ceramic, interior design, painting, photography and graphic design. Dr. Hasan N’erat, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, mentioned that the Faculty aims, through its participation in the event, to shed light on the scope of majors it offers to Palestinian students and to expose the students’ work to the public.
He emphasized the importance of such event since it helps promote the students talents and expands the society’s understanding of the level of development the Faculty has achieved in the various fields of art.
Dr. N’erat also said the Faculty’s Council has formed a committee to follow-up on this project and prepare for the students’ anticipated participation in the one-week art gallery in Ramallah. Furthermore, Dr. N’erat praised the strong cooperation relationships that the University in general and the Faculty of Fine Arts in particular, hold with the Palestinian Ministry of Culture with respect to the organization of various art activities and celebrations.
