Under the patronage of the University President, Prof. Rami Hamdallah, and in cooperation with the Human Rights and Democracy Media Center in Palestine (Shams), the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University organized the Creative Paintings Exhibition on Wednesday, 10^th of February 2010.

Dr. Hasan N'erat, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, said that such exhibitions show the University's concern in serving the local society and supporting innovative and talented students. He also added that the Faculty organizes these exhibitions thorough the students by providing them with all necessary materials to make those works of art.

Dr. Omar Rahal, Director of Shams center expressed his admiration by the exhibition which, according to him, has provided the students with the chance to reveal and practice their talents through their paintings. Dr. Rahal said that the Center provided the students with art materials as well as theoretical training on democracy and human rights issues. In addition to this exhibition, two others, Birzeit University and Nazareth Exhibitions, were held earlier and included student-made paintings. The Exhibition was held at the Faculty of Fine Arts and continues for two days (from 10^th-11^th of February 2010).
