The Faculty of Fine Arts Inaugurates a Student Artwork Exhibition
On September 20th 2010, the Faculty of Fine Arts at An-Najah inaugurated an artwork exhibition for its students which contained their works in various fields of fine art. The exhibition was inaugurated by Prof. Maher Abu Eid, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Professor Tony McEnery, Dean of the Faculty of Arts at Lancaster University who is currently visiting An-Najah, Dr. Hasan N'erat, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at An-Najah as well as a number of instructors and students at the University.

Dr. N'erat mentioned that the exhibition contains a variety of paintings, ceramics, drawings and other works of art made by the students of the Faculty themselves. He also added that the purpose behind this kind of events is to support extracurricular activities at the Faculty which would greatly enhance the students' practical abilities and experience. It also encourages students to think creatively and innovatively.

Professor McEnery expressed his admiration by the outstanding works he saw at the exhibition and encourages students to continue working and practicing all the time so as to expand their knowledge and deepen their experience. After that, Prof. Abu Eid presented a souvenir to Professor McEnery in recognition to his participation and visit. The Professor also visited the ceramics workshop and the Palestinian Folk Art Museum which contains hundreds of traditional Palestinian antiques that the Faculty of Fine Arts at An-Najah has been collecting from the various Palestinian villages and cities in an effort to preserve the Palestinian history and heritage.
Professor McEnery's tour at the Faculty of Fine Arts comes as part of his visit to An-Najah University which includes visiting the Faculty of Arts and meeting with the faculty staff.
