June 1st. Under the auspices of An-Najah University President, Prof. Rami Hamdallah, and the sponsorship of Palestine Cellular Communication Company (Jawwal), the Faculty of Engineering at An-Najah inaugurated the 2011 Engineering Innovations Exhibition.

Attendees included: Nablus Governor, Brigadier Jibrin Al-Bakri, Prof. Rami Hamdallah, An-Najah President, a number of An-Najah Vice Presidents, Engineer Ahmed Adili, Chief of Engineer- Al-Quds Center, Dr. Nabil Dmaidi, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mr. Amjad Bishtawi, Director of the Engineering Applications Department at Jawwal, as well as faculty staff and students.

At the beginning of the inauguration ceremony, Engineer Mohammad Dwaikat, Director of the Engineering Communication Center at the University, welcomed the participants who represented different companies and institutions in Palestine, and valued their dedication to supporting such events that aim to develop and promote the skills of university students.

Al-Bakri said the Palestinians are proud of An-Najah University which offers them a wide variety of services to ensure their well-being and the development of the local society.

Prof. Hamdallah expressed his pride of the Faculty of Engineering which occupies a leading position in Palestine and emphasized the University’s commitment to supporting the Faculty and its activities.

Mr. Bishtawi thanked the University represented by its Faculty of Engineering for providing the Palestinian students with high quality education and training that would help in their integration into the work market in the future. He also explained that the Company’s sponsorship of the Exhibition stems out from its awareness of the importance of engineering in life.

Engineer Adili said that the University has always been the place from which experts and professionals graduate to take part in the development of their society. He also said that the projects displayed at the Exhibition were amazing and impressive which indicate the great effort done by the students and their supervisors to come up with such ingenious work. He also expressed the Engineering Association’s readiness to cooperate with the different local institutions to help serve and develop the Palestinian society.

Dr. Dmaidi stated that the Exhibition gives the students a chance to present their innovative work and ideas to people and familiarize them with the level of advancement and experience the Faculty and its staff has attained over the years.  He also thanked the Engineering Association for the support it provides in the field of training to add more experience to the engineering students.

He finally thanked the University represented by its President, Prof. Hamdallah for the continuous support it offers to the Faculty and its activities and facilities.
