The Faculty of Educational Sciences at An-Najah Organizes Scientific Visits to the University of Chester and the University of Canterbury in the UK
The Faculty of Educational Sciences at An-Najah organized a number of scientific visits to the University of Chester and the University of Canter bury in the United Kingdom. The first visit was organized to the University of Chester between October 1st and 8th and Between October 10th and 16th.
The visit was made by Dr. Alia’ Al-Assali, Head of the Lower Basic Teacher Education Program, and Mr. Shadi Abu Al-Kabbash, Instructor at the Department of Psychology at An-Najah as part of the Basic Education Development Project “The Class Teacher Program” which is executed through partnership with the University of Chester, Bethlehem University, Hebron University, Al-Rawda College for Vocational Sciences, and under the sponsorship of the World Bank.
The visit’s schedule included conducting several visits to the schools there for the purpose of having An-Najah’s delegation acquainted with the modern teaching methods used there and the experience of the British staff. In addition to school visits Dr. Al-Assali and Mr. Al-kabbash attended workshops and lectures that addressed educational subjects related to the Class Teacher Program.
On the other hand, Dr. Abdel Kareem Ayyoub, Dr. Abdel Kareem Ighbariyeh and Dr. Bilal Abu A’ydeh made a visit to the University of Canterbury between October 23rd and 30th as part of the English Language Development Project which is executed with the University of Canterbury in partnership with Hebron University, Al-Quds University, and under the sponsorship of the World Bank. The visit included several visits to schools where new teaching methods were learned and experiences acquired by An-Najah’s delegation regarding the different teaching developments and updates in the UK. In addition to this, a number of lectures and workshops were attended that discussed issues related to education and teaching.
