The Faculty of Education Sciences Receives a Delegation from a Number of Universities
July 19th. The Faculty of Educational Sciences at An-Najah University received a delegation that consisted of members of the faculty staff from the Colombia University in the City of New York, Palestine Polytechnic University (Khadouri) in Tulkarm and Al-Aroob College in Hebron as part of the activities of the Technological Education Programs Development Project funded by the World Bank.
In the meeting, Dr. Ali Zuhdi, Coordinator of the Project at An-Najah, welcomed the members of the faculty staff from the three universities and hoped that the Project would achieve its goals and contribute to the development of technological education programs in Palestine.
Mr. Husam Hasrawi, Director of the Project, spoke about the Project saying that it aims to reinforce cooperation between the three participating universities with respect to the exchange of expertise, reinforce communication between academic staff, enhance scientific research in the academic field, as well as developing and improving technology education programs and the teaching of such materials in the Palestinian educational institutions.
Dr. Zuhdi also presented a lecture for the students enrolled in the Computer in Education Course which was also attended by the delegation. Dr. Zuhdi used in his lecture different techniques such as the social networking websites and the Web Quest method. At the end of the lecture, the delegation expressed its admiration by the techniques used to run the lecture which contribute to the reinforcement of interaction between the students and their teacher.
