The Employees' Union at the University organized, on March 22^nd 2010, an honoring ceremony for the female staff at the University. The event was held in celebration of the International Women's Day and the Mother's Day. The University President, Prof. Rami Hamdallah, a number of vice presidents, instructors and members of the Employees' Union attended the ceremony.

Dr. Husam Abdel Halim, Head of the Administrative Body at the Employee's Union at the University, thanked the President for his support of women both at the University and in the local society. He added that this event highlights the women's vital role in the society and that she takes part in every aspect of life alongside the man.

The Palestinian woman is an important part of the development process in the society in different fields such as education, health, and service. Prof. Hamdallah stressed that women in Palestine are honored in every position they occupy and their contribution to the wellbeing of the Palestinian community is highly valuable.
