The Department of Nursing at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at An-Najah University organized a workshop on advanced nursing for the different types of injuries for the purpose of developing and reinforcing the students’ skills and experience in the different areas of nursing.

The workshop targeted third-year nursing students and was administered by members of staff at the Department of Nursing. Dr. Aidah Al-Kaissi, first spoke about the importance of the workshop and delivered a lecture about initial and secondary evaluation of injuries.

Mahdiya Al-Koni delivered a lecture about the injuries in the muscular and skeletal systems, while Najwa Subuh spoke about child injuries. Shourouq Qadous discussed abdominal injuries while Fatima Hirzallah, Rahija Awni, Samah Shtaiyyeh and Jamal Al-Qaddoumi spoke about chest injuries and treatment, birth injuries, head injuries and spine injuries, respectively.

Dr. Al-Kaissi assured that the workshop works on enhancing the practical skills of the trainees in dealing with the patients, and in developing the treatment provided for them.
