The Department of Nursing and Midwifery at An-Najah Participates in the Second Annual Conference in the Field of Medicine and Nursing
Dr. Aidah Al-Kaissi, Head of the Nursing and Midwifery Department at An-Najah, participated in the second annual conference which was organized by the Association of Physicians for Human Rights in cooperation with the Palestinian Nursing Council.
The conference included several lectures that addressed a number of issues including: Occupational safety for the medical staff during work, Rheumatism, treatment through music, and cardiac catheterization.
In her lecture Dr. Al-Kaissi spoke about Toxaemia and poisoning-induced coma and explained the different symptoms and the reasons behind this type of poisoning. She also spoke about the treatments and methods that affect the disease, as well as the different studies that were conducted in this field along with the results and recommendations.
A large number of nursing and midwifery staff from the different hospitals, as well as instructors from the Department of Nursing and Midwifery (Samah Ishtayyeh and Fatima Hirzallah) and students attended the event.
At the end of the conference Mr. Ayman Inayyaeh, Coordinator of the Association of Physicians for Human Rights in the Northern Governorates, thanked Dr. Al-Kaissi and An-Najah University for their efforts and valuable work to develop nursing and the offered services further.
