On Sunday 9 February, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) - Students Branch hosted a seminar entitled “What next; after Graduation” at the auditorium of Engineering and Information Technology, New Campus. Ma’moun Abu Rayyan, an Engineer and Project Manager at the Engineers Union and Recruitment Manager at Global Community was guest speaker at the event attended by the Head of Civil Engineering, Dr. Abdulfattah Al-Mallah, and a number of Faculty members, students and volunteers of the Society.

Mr. Abu Rayyan thanked An-Najah University and the students on hosting such an event which he said had great value in preparing students and enhancing their personal skills. He highlighted the need for this by citing the example of the amount of international competition in the Palestinian market and therefore, what it requires of students to become able to compete with their peers around the world.

Mr. Abu Rayyan also discussed CV writing, interview techniques, and highlighted some of the common mistakes students. He closed his seminar by giving students a range of hints and tips to help them prepare for a successful interview and wished them luck in their future careers.
