In cooperation with the Deanship of Students Affairs and the Faculty of Engineering, the Students Union Council at An-Najah organized the architecture exhibition titled “Architectural Innovations”. Attendees to the opening included Prof. Maher Abu Eid, Vice President of Academic Affairs, Mrs. Anan Attireh, Deputy Governor of Nablus, Engineer Ahmed Adili, Chief of the Palestinian Engineers, Dr. Abdel Raheem Abu Safa, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Iman Amad, Head of the Architectural Engineering Department, and Muhammad Daqqah, Chairperson of the Students Union Council.

The exhibition displayed the creative work of the students of the Architectural Engineering Department who prepared several projects in the form of 3D and 2D models. The Models depicted several projects that are planned to be executed in the city of Nablus such as the restoration of the Old City, the rehabilitation the City’s main roads, in addition to housing projects, the establishment of commercial centers, hotels and many others.

Prof. Abu Eid praised the level of creativity that the students have attained and valued the efforts of the staff at the Department of Architectural Engineering in preparing for the exhibition. Mrs. Attireh also thanked the students for their work and efforts and said all the projects were of substantial importance for the development of the city and the surrounding villages especially the projects that are dedicated to Tall Soufer (Soufer Hill), Qaser Toukan (Toukan Palace), Al-Nimer Palace, and Siyaq Al-Nakheel Area.

Adili thanked all those who made this exhibition a success and emphasized the possibility of having the students’ projects implemented and taken into consideration. Ideas like these must be adopted because projects originate from ideas and creativity.
