The University’s Board of Trustees held a meeting on the evening of Saturday 7/2/2009 during which the Board welcomed the decision of President Mahmoud Abbas to appoint Mr. Sabeeh Al Masri as the University’s Chair of Board of Trustees

Mr. Al Masri was born in Nablus in 1937 and earned a bachelor degree in chemical engineering. He has a good reputation as businessman in the fields of economy and investment at the local, Arab, and international levels. Mr. Masri has a long and varied experience in the field of investment, finance and business administration. He is the founder and chairman of the boards of directors of several institutions in different areas.
President Rami Hamdallah said he is delighted that Mr. Al Masri is the new Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees. He added that the University has established a considerable reputation under the Chairmanship of Late Salah Al Masri and the appointment of Mr. Al Masri with his experience, wisdom and knowledge not only in economic areas, but in various spheres of life, will indeed further the progress the University has reached at various levels.
