On Saturday 22 February An-Najah held a preparatory workshop for the Conference on ''Learning and Teaching in the Digital World 2014”, at the Caesar Hotel in Ramallah. The workshop was attended by the conference’s steering and organising committees, in addition to a number of specialised persons and companies in electronic learning.

Professor Sami Jaber, Academic Vice President, opened the workshop by welcoming the attendees and thanking the conference sponsors and steering committee on behalf of the University presidency.

Dr. Saeda Affouneh, Head of the Steering Committee, gave a presentation on the Conference, its significance at this particular time, the importance of focusing on the quality of the outcomes of higher education and employing technology to improve the quality of education. Discussions then took place around the mechanisms for influencing the national policies of electronic learning.

The workshop resulted in a number of conclusions, the most important of which was to involve the private sector in the educational process and to hold more workshops to discuss the policies of electronic learning.
