Symposium on Linguistics and the Arabic Language

The current state of the Arabic language and the impact that English and Hebrew have on the language was the subject of a symposium recently organized by the Arabic Department of An-Najah National University. Researchers from the West Bank and the Gaza Strip participated and presented their papers at the symposium. Papers concentrated on the conflict between Arabic, English, and Hebrew as well as the impact of dialects on standard Arabic.
