The Palestinian singer, Ammar Hasan, graduate of An-Najah National University’s Fine Arts faculty, sang on the main stage of the University's old campus in front of thousands of his fans and loved ones. Hasan sang for the holy land of Palestine and its people; he performed some national and humanitarian songs about mankind and land.
In the besieged city of Nablus, the event only took place following some difficulties; it was the first time in five years that An-Najah has held such an activity. The event came about as part of the people’s intention to live their lives as normally as possible; people, whom are affected and psychologically infected by the nightly Israeli invasion, came to the party to be able to enjoy part of their lives so that they may continue their struggles for peace and justice. The party reminded people of the normal lives their fellows are living in the other parts of the Arab world.
Ammar Hasan was one of the well-educated students of the Fine Arts Faculty; he passed all the selection processes in order to be one the best super stars of the Arab World. Hasan was the first and sole Palestinian winner in the contest.
The University hosted the party in order to encourage the attempts of normalizing the citizens' lives and to encourage them to feel that there is still a possibility to smile even in hard times.
