Three students in the University's Department of Journalism won the Palestinian Independent Commission of Citizens Right's Award for their film ‘Sedentary in Shadows’.   The film explores the real life effects of the current situation for the citizens of the city of Nablus in the West Bank.  The Department of Journalism students note the documentary filmmaking is an excellent way to seek out moments in the life of the Palestinian people, record them and share these stories with the world.  "This award will allow us to make more documentaries on a grander scale that will reach larger and more varied audiences," they said.
