Gaza has faced three continuous weeks of aggression and has thus suffered severe difficulties and hardships. The aggression has caused immense human suffering and pain. This tragic situation continues to deteriorate and it has caused all of us to face a great challenge, in which we can not remain silent or accept it any way.

The international community with its various institutions should take immediate and decisive measures to protect the people in Gaza from future aggression actions as well as to provide the necessary humanitarian actions, and also to help in the vital process of Gaza’s reconstruction.

People in Gaza are in our hearts and minds. Their pain is our pain and we are with them all our hearts. We at An-Najah National University express our sympathies to the family of those who have died and our hopes for full and immediate recovery for those who were injured.

We would like to convey to the beloved people of Gaza our ongoing message of solidarity and support. We do affirm that we stand shoulder by shoulder with them while they are suffering this tragedy.

In particular we would like to mention the Higher Education Institutions in Gaza which have been under savage aggression in which buildings and many facilities have been destroyed. These Institutions serve the academic purposes in Gaza and that is why we call on all institutions to stand by and support them. The aim should be to rebuild what has been destroyed so that they can continue to promote higher education in Gaza.

As for the home front, our message is to call on all Palestinian factions to have a joint stand and unify all good endeavors to help the people of Gaza as they go through these tragic times. We at An-Najah National University firmly support all unified national endeavors to support the people of Gaza, financially and to strengthen their morale in order to lessen the effects of this terrible tragedy.

We do commend the praiseworthy efforts to help Gazans to overcome their many hardships. Our solidarity signals a message of unity and this is the minimum we can do for Gaza.

We are all required to be all united to support the people of Gaza and to offer everything we can to deal with the appalling human tragedy there. We would like to express our gratitude to His Excellency President Mahmoud Abbas and all groups throughout the world who have struggled to stop the aggression on Gaza.

Once again, we affirm our support for the people of Gaza and we look forward eagerly to the time when the ongoing human tragedy will end and national unity can be restored to Gaza and West Bank. We also look forward to the time when peace, safety, and tranquility will enter every home and touch every family in our beloved Gaza.
