Spanish Delgation Visits An-Najah

A delegation from the cooperation bureau of the Spanish Consulate in Jerusalem recently visited An Najah University. The delegation was headed by Alberto Gareng who was accompanied by Marta Lorenzo, the Cultural Coordinator in the Consulate.
The delegation gave a presentation about the scholarships offered by the Spanish Bureau for the academic year 2005/2006 and was attended by number of Professors and students.
Rafe'e Daraghmeh, the Head of the Public Relations Department, introduced the delegation and welcomed them to An-Najah, stressing the importance of such visits for students and teachers interested in completing their studies in Spanish universities.
Mr. Gareng then gave details of the scholarships, explaining the courses that the applicants can apply for in addition to the application procedures involved.
At the end of the visit the delegation met Dr. Maher Natsheh, Vice President for Academic Affairs, who welcomed the delegation and encouraged such cooperation between the Spanish Consulate and the university. He also mentioned that An-Najah has a number of agreements with Spanish universities and said that such cooperation will help to raise the academic level of the university in different fields.
