Siraj students, American students who study Arabic at the Bethlehem Siraj Center, visited the university, where Dr. Nabil Alawi, the Director of the Public Relations Department, talked in brief about the university and the academic process. He also spoke about the financial problems facing students. Stan Heller, an American Director, interviewed some students who spoke about their depression that came as a result of the siege.
Mr. Ala Yousef, Coordinator of the Zajel Youth Exchange Program, spoke about the Right to Education Campaign as well as the projects of the Youth Exchange Program. A tour was organized to the Old City of Nablus as well as to the New Askar Refugee Camp, where the guests received firsthand information on the difficult conditions that the Palestinian refugees face.
Stan Heller graduated in 1970 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English/Creative Writing at the University of California Extension 1990-1994. He studied photography, film production, systems administration, and shell programming at Sun Microsystems Education Center 1993-2001.
