S.A.P.A Holds a Seminar of Weather and Weather Maps at An-Najah National University
On Tuesday, March 11th, 2015, Student Association for Physics and Astronomy (S.A.P.A) held a seminar entitled "Weather and Weather Maps" at An-Najah National University.
We’am Hayek, Member of the Governing Body of the Association commended the meteorologists' efforts which serve Palestinian residents.
Eng. Muhammad Janim delivered a speech on the science of the weather, its’ history, the devices used to monitor weather conditions, and the applications used in navigation, air navigation, and agriculture. He also demonstrated the way weather maps are supposed to be read.
In his turn, Dr. Eyad Saad Al-Dein, Head of the Physics Department concentrated on the idea of the bonding relation between physics and the science of the weather, confirming that the science of the weather is part of atmospheric physics.
