Research Gate, a global network of academic researchers, has ranked An-Najah National University first in research production out of 27 academic institutions and research centers in Palestine. The university received a total of 774.30 points, whereas the nearest competitor received 601.41.

An-Najah has established itself as the premier Palestinian scientific institution. The university envisions competing with prestigious academic and research institutions around the world.

Dr. Maher Natsheh, Acting President of the university, thanked Dr. Hikmat Hilal, the Dean of Research, Dr. Abdulraheem Abo Safa, Dr. Sa’ed Zayoud, Bashir Faidi, and Abdullah Abdullah for their efforts in promoting scientific research within the university.

Research Gate is a professional social network interested in research production of academic institutions and research centers around the world. It enables researchers to exchange information and findings, research papers, press releases, and experiences. One of the objectives of launching Research Gate was reducing the redundancy in research papers around the world. It includes a search engine for higher education institutions, and a reference that reviews and classifies universities according to their research papers’ production. The number of the members has exceeded three million researchers, and it covers tens of millions of papers in different academic disciplines.
