Representatives of the Canadian International Development Agency and the Canadian Government visit the Community Service Center

On Thursday, March 3rd, 2011 Pascal Tremblay, the Desk Officer of CIDA Middle East Programs and Julia Dicum, First Secretary of Development of the Representative Office of the Canadian Government in Ramallah visited the Community Service Center in Nablus. CSC Director, Bilal Salama, and staff members hosted the guests at the center in downtown Nablus and introduced them to the CSC's programs, vision and mission. Mr. Tremblay and Ms. Dicum were then able to visit the old city and meet with an elderly woman and a single-mother family who are benefiting from the CSC's programs.

They then toured An-Najah University to see the CSC volunteer unit and meet with CSC founder and former-director, Sami Al-Kilani. During this meeting, sustainability for CSC's programs and cooperation with other social work centers were discussed. The visited was beneficial for all participants and the CSC hopes to continue its long-standing partnerships with CIDA and the Canadian government.
