Prof. Rami Hamdallah, President of An-Najah University, received Ms. Birgitta Tazelaar, Representative of Netherlands to the Palestinian National Authority, in his office at the Old Campus. Attendees to the meeting were University President Assistant for Strategic and International Affairs, and Dr. Sam Alfoqahaa, Director of the Public Relations Department at An-Najah.

The President welcomed Ms. Tazelaar to the University and familiarized her with An-Najah, its history, faculties, academic programs, study fields, the new programs that have been introduced to meet the needs of the local society, as well as the scientific centers that provide a wide variety of services to the society in different fields.

Furthermore, Prof. Hamdallah emphasized the strong relationship between Palestine and the Netherlands and hoped that more cooperation would be achieved on the academic level.

In addition, the President spoke about the Teaching Hospital project and the contribution it shall make to the development of the health sector in Palestine upon its completion.

In return, Ms. Tazelaar thanked Prof. Hamdallah for his time and hospitality and valued the effort that the University makes to manage and develop higher education in Palestine. She also said she was impressed by the advanced ranks that the University has achieved lately on the local and international levels.
