Prof. Rami Hamdallah, President of An-Najah University, received in his office at the Old Campus Mr. Giampaolo Cantini, Italian Consul General at the Italian Consulate General in Jerusalem.

In the meeting, Prof. Hamdallah welcomed Mr. Cantini to An-Najah and appreciated his interest to visit the University. He also familiarized him with the University’s history, development, academic programs, the service it provides to the local society through its dedicated scientific centers, in addition to the different architectural enhancements that have been introduced to the University in its various campuses.

Moreover, the President pointed out that An-Najah has recently won the Excellence Model which was granted by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) being among the first few universities in Palestine and the world to apply this model.

Prof. Hamdallah also welcomed the mutual academic cooperation between An-Najah and the different Italian universities in order to develop the academic process, exchange experience and students between them.

Mr. Cantini thanked the President for his welcoming and hospitality and congratulated him on the Excellence Model that the University won lately. He also valued the University ‘s efforts to support higher education in Palestine and welcomed the idea of mutual cooperation between An-Najah University and the Italian universities in the various academic field.
