Prof. Rami Hamdallah, President of An-Najah University, received in his office at the Old Campus Mr. Zainulbahar Noor, the Indonesian ambassador to Jordan and Palestine, and Mr. Fariz Mehdawi, Ambassador of Palestine to Indonesia. Attendees to the meeting included Prof. Maher Abu Eid, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Sam Alfoqahaa, Director of the Public Relations Department at An-Najah.

Prof. Hamdallah welcomed the two guests to An-Najah and valued the efforts made by the Indonesian Government to support the Palestinian cause in the various aspects of life. He also emphasized the importance of building strong relationships between An-Najah and the different Indonesian universities so as to have successful academic and student exchange between the two countries.

Furthermore, Prof. Hamdallah familiarized Mr. Noor and Mr. Mehdawi with the latest developments at An-Najah University the most significant of which is the new Teaching Hospital which would represent a major addition to the field of health and medicine in Palestine as it shall provide the locals with advanced, low-cost medical care as well as training opportunities for university students.

Mr. Noor spoke about the importance of following-up on the projects and programs between An-Najah and top universities in Indonesia in various fields such as agriculture, medicine and health.

He added that discussing potential mutual cooperation between the two sides would be very useful as it would bring about significant benefit upon each side.

The guests also visited the New Campus where they were introduced to the Media Center, the Faculty of Fine Arts and many other facilities. The two ambassadors said they were impressed by the level of development they have seen during their tour on the campus.
