Prof. Rami Hamdallah Receives the First Two Students to be Trained at An-Najah through the IAESTE
On July 24th, An-Najah University President, Prof. Rami Hamdallah, received in his office at the Old Campus the first two students to arrive at the University where they will be trained through the International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE).
The two students were from South Korea and the other from the Czech Republic accompanied by Dr. Riyad Abdel Kareem from the Faculty of Engineering at An-Najah and Director of the IAESTE Office at the University.
During the meeting, Prof. Hamdallah welcomed the two students to An-Najah and called upon them to encourage their colleagues to benefit from the exchange program and visit Palestine. In return, the two students expressed their pleasure to visit An-Najah and said they were impressed with the level of development that the University has achieved.
Moreover, they introduced to the President the type of training that they came for and the kind of experience they have gained through their study at their home universities.
One of the two students is being trained on Al-Quds Open University’s Building Project through the Arab Real Estate Establishment, while the other is being trained on the University’s new Teaching Hospital through the Engineering Works Department at An-Najah.
The University was granted membership in the IAESTE last year which allowed it to benefit from many training exchange programs with a number of countries including: Turkey, China, Germany, Japan, Korea, the Czech Republic among others.
