Prof. Rami Hamdallah Receives Netherlands Representative to the Palestinian Authority

University President, Prof. Rami hamdallah, met in his office at the Old Campus with Mr. Jack R. Twiss Quarles van Ufford, Netherlands Representative to the Palestinian Authority along with Mr. Ziad Sharia, Development Cooperation Officer at the Development Cooperation Department. Attended the meeting also was Dr. Shaker Bitar, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, President Assistant for International and Strategic Affairs and Alaa Abu Dheer, Director of the Public Relations Department at the University.
In the meeting, Prof. Hamdallah discussed with Mr. Ufford the prospects of cooperation between the Netherlands Representative Office in Palestine and An Najah University. He also spoke about the University, its facilities, students, academic programs, as well as the scientific centers and their role in serving the local society. A short film was also presented to the guest which narrates the story of the University's long journey and its concern with scientific research.
Prof. Hamdallah further thanked Mr. Ufford for his visit and emphasized the importance of maintaining cooperation between the Palestinian and Dutch universities. He also appreciated the substantial effort that the Representative Office in Ramallah carries out in order to support this cooperation and called for more cooperation in the field of academic exchange. Likewise, Mr. Ufford stressed the importance of such cooperation between the two countries and expressed his country's continuous willingness to support the Palestinian people.
A tour was finally organized to the New Campus where the guest was introduced to the substantial progress that the University has witnessed and expressed his admiration by the highly developed facilities and centers that the New Campus offers to the students.
