July 21^st. Prof. Rami Hamdallah, President of An-Najah University, received in his office at the Old Campus a Palestinian student delegation from the Palestinian community in Hungary. The visit was organized in coordination with the Public Relations Department at President Mahmoud Abbas’s Office in Ramallah. Attendees included Prof. Maher Abu Eid, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Sam Alfoqahaa, Director of the Public Relations Department at An-Najah, as well as the staff of the Public Relations Department at the Presidency Office in Ramallah.

At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Hamdallah welcomed the delegation and thanked them for their visit. He then presented a summary about the University, its history, development and the different fields of study it offers to its students.

In a previous meeting with the delegation, Prof. Abu Eid familiarized guests with the University, its education, as well as introducing them to higher education in Palestine and the different obstacles that face this sector the financial problems and the need to provide the society with qualified academic staff from outside the country.

Moreover, he stressed the University’s concern with developing cooperation relationships with the different universities in Hungary and mentioned that An-Najah already holds academic cooperation relationships with Budapest University in Hungary.

After the meeting, the delegation visited the various facilities on the Old and New Campuses that included Zafer Al-Masri Auditorium at the Old Campus, and the Faculty of Physical Education, the Faculty of Media and the Prince Turki Bin Abdul Aziz Theater at the New Campus. The guests expressed their admiration by the level of advancement that the University has achieved over the last years which was evident through the different facilities they visited.
