Prof. Rami Hamdallah, President of An-Najah University, received in his office at the Old Campus the Arab expert in Magnetism and its applications, Dr. Mohammad Al-Hilo from the University of Bahrain. Dr. Muhammad Abu Ja’far, Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies also attended the meeting.

Prof. Hamdallah welcomed the guest and valued his efforts in the field of scientific research and higher education in the Arab world. He also thanked him for his interest to visit An-Najah and meet with its staff and students.

After his meeting with Prof. Hamdallah, Dr. Al-Hilo delivered a number of lectures on magnetism and its applications at the New Campus Library in which a large number of researchers and professors participated.

Prior to his presentations, Dr. Abu Ja’far introduced Dr. Al-Hilo to the attendants and welcomed him in the scientific day on the modeling of magnetic nano-particle systems using the Monte Carlo simulation. He also spoke about the Faculty of Graduate Studies at An-Najah and explained its vision and mission. He said that the Faculty takes into consideration the interest of the Palestinian society and the provision of different services that will ensure its development.

Dr. Al-Hilo spoke in his presentation about the issue of magnetism and its applications and explained the different methods that researchers can use in case there are no practical methods to handle them such as the Mathematica method.

Regarding the modeling of magnetic nano-particle systems using the Monte Carlo simulation, it is known that magnetic nano-particle systems have wide applications in the real world such as in data storage, nano-particles incentives, biomedicine, medical imaging, as well as in environmental processing and nano-fluids. Therefore, understanding the behavior of systems when exposed to magnetic fields is among the most important subjects that has attracted the attention of researchers and scientists for a long time.
