On Wednesday, January 15^th, 2014, Prof. Maher Natsheh, the Acting President of An-Najah National University, received Prof. Barsba Solamanovic Karamozon, President of Kabardino-Balkaria University in Russia, Dr. Qasimovic Kadkhzahakof, the University’s Director of International Relations, and Dr. Sam Fuqahaa, Director of Public Relations Department in the University. The two parties discussed the possibility of cooperation between the Russian University and An-Najah University.

Prof. Natsheh welcomed the visiting delegation and briefed them on An-Najah University and its interest in developing relations with the Russian universities in many academic fields.He also thanked the delegation for their visit hoping they will establish cooperation in many programs, especially dispatching Russian students to An-Najah University to learn Arabic within its ‘Arabic for Non-natives Program.The president of Kabardino-Balkaria the Russian university introduced his university, and highlighted on the advancement in the fields of Nanotechnology, Natural physics, Physical sciences, and Medicine, illustrating that the university pays particular attention to the development of the Faculty of Medicine, as it annually produces doctors who work in Russia’s most famous hospitals.Both parties hoped to reach to a common form that aims at signing an agreement in the different academic areas.

The Russian delegation was accompanied by Dr.Omar Mahameed, the Instructor of the Russian language at An-Najah University, and Dr. Alaa Mahameed, from the Palestinian Russian Friendship Association.
