Mr. Ben Scott, the Representative of Australia to the Palestinian Authority, visited the University today to discuss cooperation issues with Prof. Rami Hamdallah, the president of the University, at the presence of Dr. Nabil Alawi, the Director of the University's Public Relations Department.
“An-Najah is tremendously pleased to have the Australian Representative to the Palestinian Authority visiting our campus,” said Prof. Hamdallah.  “The relationships between Australia and Palestine have been developing and we were glad to exchange ideas with the Representative about possible links between academic institutions in Australia and An-Najah National University,” he added.
"Australia has many prestigious academic institutions and we aspire to have strong research links with these universities and research institutes, with exchange agreements and research partnerships," Prof. Hamdallah said.
The Australian Representative expressed the interest of the Representative Office of Australia to Palestinian Authority to strengthen relations with Palestinian universities, and in having some academic exchanges, taking into account the international prestige of the Australian education system.
