July 24^th 2010. His Excellency, Prime Minister Dr. Salam Fayyad, delivered a letter of congratulations to the University President, Prof. Rami Hamdallah, in relation to the new ranking that the University has received by the Ranking Web of World Universities (Webometrics) on Monday, July 19^th 2010. According to Webometrics, the University has attained the first place in Palestine, fifth in the Arab world and number 1160 worldwide from among 20,000 universities.

Dr. Fayyad expressed his admiration at the continuous success and achievements that the University is making according to the latest ranking by the Webometrics. The University's long educational march has been characterized by many remarkable achievements which placed it among the best universities locally and regionally. It has received another ranking after the last one a year ago, and still looks forward to obtaining higher positions in the future. Dr. Fayyad said that he also valued the efforts that the employees have exerted to help keep the University in the lead.

He added that this success would serve as a strong motivation for more achievements and success in the coming years that would help the University achieve higher ranks in the future.
