Professor Rami Hamdallah, President of the University, announced that the University has more than 16,000 students including the new freshmen students. He pointed out that the University has granted soft loans to 10,000 students out of 12,000 applicants. The new fall semester has already started with 4,000 new students. He said that the University students have to uphold Palestinian national unity and adhere to the university rules.
Professor Hamdallah noted that the University is working on establishing the university’s teaching hospital in cooperation with the Ministry of Health. The hospital will have modern equipment to be used to train students of the Faculty of Human Medicine. He also said that the University is building good relationships between its scientific centers and the local labor market and ministries.
